The technical excellence of our MC4 extension cables starts with the raw materials. We use electrolytic tinned copper (99.99% purity) to ensure optimal conductivity and resistance to the corrosive effects of moisture and salt spray. The insulation and jacket are composed of Electron-beam cross-linked polyolefin (XLPO), which does not melt or flow, even during brief short-circuit events. This material is halogen-free and flame-retardant, meeting the EN 50618 and H1Z2Z2-K standards required for modern PV installations.
Furthermore, our connectors feature a secure snap-in locking system that is only openable with a specialized tool, preventing accidental disconnection. The internal contact material is silver-plated copper, which reduces contact resistance to less than 0.5mΩ.
